Big Six Data Research, Bibliography, and Rough Draft

    • Big six papers: Brainstorming sheet, Data sheet, and evaluation sheet

Description:

 

The data sheet is the second page of the Big Six research papers. We spent at least one or two days in class doing research. Students have been given tutoring opportunities during lunch and after school to complete research. Others have used home, friend, or public library computers to complete research.

A lesson was taught today to show students how to change the data from data sheet into a five-paragraph essay. Students must finish rough drafts this weekend and show corrections.

On Monday, students will be given classtime to type final drafts on computers. A flash/jump drive is recommended for saving data this year.

Description:

Students will revise the letter of complaint and show revisions.

Students will type final drafts at school on 11/1/07. Instructor will print out final drafts.

Reading log
Point Value: 10 points per day (min. of 10 lines per day)

Required Materials:

Reading log notebooks, reading log prompts, and novels.



Description: Students will read for 30 mins. daily Monday -Friday. Students are required to follow prompts given and pasted in fronts of notebooks. Students are required to write 10 lines each day at home and may not simply summarize the story. Options include 2 drawings with quotes and 2 thinking maps per six weeks.
